little oink...

happy monday!
i'm so excited about this new book "little oink" from the creators "little pea" and "little hoot." it's about this tidy tale of a decidedly different pig! "little oink" is the perfect little story about a little pig who just wants to clean, clean, clean (that's all he wants to do.) but mama and papa won't have it! they say in order to be a proper pig, he has to learn to make a proper mess. "don't come out until your room is a pigsty," says Papa Pig. "i won't have any child of mine going out looking so neat and clean. it's just not acceptable," says mama pig. readers who hate to clean up will love this humorous twist on a universal dilemma.
be sure to get your own copy here!

tracks of my tears...
i have always been a fan of the blues and smokey robinson was always on top of my list. i fell in love with this song when i was a student at cornell listening to the acapella group cayugas waiters... but man, i absolutely LOVED this performance by adam lambert. i was just getting used to his rocker image but was pleasantly surprised by his tender moments. it almost brought a tear to my face... i hope he goes all the way!
if you like adam's music, i thought you would all appreciate my friend tony vincent's music. he was most known for his music in "we will rock you" but i personally love his EP "a better day" check it out... he is uber talented!

as rare as pink olive...

for many of us small business owners, starting our own business has always been a dream and wondered when it may come true. my dream of owning my own boutique came true on may 5, 2007 when Pink Olive opened it's doors in east village, manhattan. since then, i have learned that running a small business involves wearing many, many hats (good thing, i love hats!) and constantly evolving. i have always enjoyed sharing my story with others (and what i did to get here) and would love the opportunity to share what i have learned with other aspiring entrepreneurs around the country.
right now, intuit has a great opportunity for business owners to share a business tip and possibly win a significant business grant. please take a moment to click here and read my story. when you are done, make sure you rate it at the bottom and send it to a friend :)
thanks again for all your support and helping me to continue living my dream!
wish me luck!!
